STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE WAFFLE SANDWICH: チョコレートワッフルの苺サンド

I spent most of my time with my niece lately, it's her school vacation and we have a good time.


Watching Animate, playing game, and cooking together, it's fun to be with her ^^.  But it's not easy to take a photograph, shoot a video or even write blog, haha. 
Beside from keep playing, I have to make snack for her too. This time, I make something easy but can make her happy,  chocolate waffle sandwich. 
The waffle is brownie chocolate waffle, filled with load of whipped cream and strawberry, it's easy to make and easy to enjoy. Depend on the size and depth of your waffle iron, you will get more or less sandwich, and it will effect the whipped cream that you need too, so adjust it to suit yours.
Refrigerate before serving so the cream will set and it will be easier to cut into neat pieces.

Recipe: STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE WAFFLE

STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE WAFFLE SANDWICH: 
チョコレートワッフルの苺サンド
Makes 4-5 sandwiches (depend on the size of your waffle iron)



Waffle
65g .............................. Unsalted butter
85g ............................... Dark chocolate
140g ............................. Granulated sugar
2 ................................... Eggs
1tsp ............................... Vanilla extract
150g .............................. All purpose flour
2tbsp ............................. Cocoa powder
2tsp ............................... Baking powder
1/2tsp ............................ Salt
110ml ............................ Milk
....................................... Butter for brushing the waffle iron

Filling
300g .............................. Whipping cream
30g ................................ Icing sugar
1/2 tsp ........................... Vanilla bean paste
........................................ Strawberry



 Put the chocolate and butter into a microwavable bowl.


 Heat in the microwave at 600W for 1-2 minutes until the butter melt.
Remove from the microwave and stir until the chocolate melt.


 Pour the sugar into the bowl and stir to combine.


 Let the mixture cool for at least 5 minutes.


 Pour the egg and the vanilla extract into the bowl.


 Stir to combine.


 Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into  the bowl.
Stir to combine.
Pour the milk into the bowl.


Stir to combine.
Heat a waffle iron and brush with butter.


Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook about 5 minutes (or until done).


Let the waffle cool before using.


Whip the whipping cream with icing sugar and vanilla bean paste.


Until firm peak formed.


Spread the whipping cream over 1 piece of waffle.
Place the strawberry over the whipped cream.


Top with more whipped cream, and top with another piece of waffle.


Cover with plastic warp and refrigerate at least 1 hour or until set.
