Spinach Lasagna, Speedy method from LG workshop

Last week, I joined "Tempt Your Tastebuds with LG SolarDom workshop", the new product from LG.

They asked me about the microwave cooking, do I love it ^^, and if you read my blog you can see that I love microwave. Anyway, I rarely cook in the microwave, I use it for prepping, especially when I boil small amount of the milk, or any kind of liquid, it's easier to boil in the microwave.
This time I had a chance to cook in the microwave, it's a microwave with oven and grill function. It's great when you have little time to cook, I never made the white sauce in the microwave before, and it's so easy to do it ^^.
Anyway, I know that not everyone has that kind of High technology microwave at home, hehe, so I cooked the Lasagna in the oven, it took more time to cook, but it's delicious too.
I adapt the recipe from the workshop, ^^ by skipping the aroma powder.

Spinach Lasagna

Spinach filling
2tbsp ..................... Salted butter
1tbsp ...................... Garlic, chopped
2tbsp ...................... Shallot, chopped
200g ....................... Spinach, cooked and chopped*
1oog ........................ Ham, cut into small pieces
................................. Salt, and pepper
White sauce
2tbsp ..................... Salted butter
30g ........................ Onion, chopped
1tbsp ..................... All purpose flour
250ml ................... Milk
50g ........................ Whipping cream
15g ........................ Grated Parmesan cheese
................................. Salt, and pepper

5 ............................. Lasagna noodles
100g ...................... Tomato, cut into small pieces
................................ Spaghetti sauce, (home made or in a jar ^^)
200g ...................... Mozzarella, shredded (I use President's special Pizza)
1tbsp ..................... Butter, for brushing the baking dish.

*if you buy fresh Spinach, you will need 350-400 g of it and  cook following the method below
* You can use 3 (4x4 inches) small aluminum foil pans.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Boil spinach for 5 minutes. Drain, then squeeze out excess liquid. Chop spinach.

Make Spinach filling
Mix butter  with chopped garlic and chopped shallot in a bowl. Put the bowl in the microwave, and heat (high) for 2 minutes, or until cooked.
Take the bowl out of the microwave and pour the rest of the ingredients into the bowl, stir to mix. Put the bowl in the microwave and heat (high) for 5 minutes, or until cooked.

Make white sauce
Mix butter with chopped onion in a bowl. Put the bowl in the microwave, and heat (high) for 1.30 minutes, or until cooked.
Take the bowl out of the microwave, pour the milk, whipping cream and grated Parmesan cheese.

Mix until combine, and put the bowl back in the microwave heat (high) for 3 minutes or until boiled.
Make the Lasagna
Brush the baking dishes with butter.
Place one sheet of lasagna noodles in the dish, spread the spaghetti sauce over the lasagna, spread the spinach filling over the sauce, sprinkle with tomatoes and white sauce.
Repeat with another layer of lasagna, spaghetti sauce, spinach filling, tomatoes and white sauce.

I use this one.

Place the last layer of lasagna over the white sauce and spread white sauce over the lasagna, and place the Mozzarella cheese over the white sauce.

Using oven: Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until cheese is golden in places and lasagna is bubbling along the edges, about 15 minutes.
Using LG SolarDom: Bake with grill mode for 10-15 minutes (it's quick ^^).
